Winter Fen

Do you remember when we stayed awake all night,
In a cornfield watching shooting stars ignite;
Or has the memory dissolved in the cauldrons of our time,
Stirred thickly with your husband, and your children so divine.
It’s just no matter what I do or where I seem to go,
I am always thinking of your kiss
In the cornfield-covered snow.
